In short, if you know nothing about coarrays and don't want to use coarrays, then do not use ERROR STOP. ERROR STOP was introduced in f2008 specifically to inititiate error termination in coarray prorgrams. Read the standard, or MFE, or another book with Fortran 2008 explained. Anton
