Appears to be building OK on cygwin64, so will try test suite tonight.
Thanks for the notices.

Let me know in particular how much you want to know about gfortran 
vector/parallel techniques etc.  I expect to proceed to post white 
papers myself as co-authoring initiatives haven't been working out.
