Without access to the source code and no information regarding
how you have investigated the issue, the reason can be the phase
of moon, heavy metal in the local ground water, or an evil 
daemon.

Given that there have been 15 newer versions of gcc release since
4.5.1, it may be prudent to consider upgrading to a newer version.
