Dear all,

another chance to comment on the future direction of Fortran's coarrays.

The papers mentioned in N1888.txt are available via WG5's site
www.nag.co.uk/sc22wg5/ (papers numbered Nxxxx) or via J3's site
www.j3-fortran.org/ (papers numbered 11-xxx).

(gfortran's coarray status: No post-F2008 coarray features, nearly
complete single-image support in 4.7, but not yet a usable with multiple
images [except for very few hello-world programs]. The implementation
focus is on adding multi-image support before considering any of the
post-F2008 coarray extensions.)

WG5,

Last week, J3 constructed a first draft requirements document for the TS on
further coarray features. It is included in the attached paper. It will revised
at the next J3 meeting, 13-17 Feb 2011.

This a second invitation to comment. You are welcome to comment on any
the proposals in the first draft or make a new proposal. Any new proposals
should follow the format of the present proposals. Please encourage others
from your country to comment, too.

Please send your comments to me, to arrive by noon (UK time) on January 26th 2012.

Best wishes,

John.
