Exactly - and this is why the first thing I do when I enter my office is:
ssh -X toon@moene.org
and work from there.
Company- and / or Institution-wide IT policies (especially with respect
to computer security) are so restrictive these days that it actually
pays off to work at home (or at least, fake it in the above way).
I fear the day that our IT department will disable outgoing ssh
connections, because that means I actually have to take days off from
work to get any work done.
