Arjen,

thanks for the pointer, but what I meant is building MATLAB
mex-plugins using gfortran, which is documented and pretty
straightforward for Linux-ish platforms, but exclusively MSVC on
Windows, so you have to jump through a few undocumented hoops (which
I'd be willing to document in the gfortran wiki) to use
mingw-gfortran.
