fortran compiler option help

Hi,

I am trying to compile fortran software that I have previously
compiled using the Intel Fortran Compiler. I, however, cannot seem to
find the correct compiler options using gfortran to match what I am
using with ifort.

Using the intel compiler, I am using the following options
-c (prevents linking)
-module (module directory)
-o (specifies name for output file)
-C (check for certain conditions at run time).

The only option I don't think I have matched up is the -c to prevent linking.
-module i have as -M
-o I have as -o

not sure about the -C.

Can anyone help me with the option to prevent linking?

This is the full command that I am using with my compile script:
ifort -xT -ipo -c -module mod_dir -parallel

Here is the command I am using for the linking script:
ifort -xT -ipo -C -o file_name -parallel

The -xT and -ipo are for optimization, and the -parallel is for
utilizing multiple processors.

Thank you for any help,
