I tried your latest patch against fortran-dev and now got an ICE on
ia32.  I boiled this down to the attached testcase which does not
fail with the trunk:

% /opt/gfortran/dev/bin/gfortran gfcbug96d.f90
gfcbug96d.f90: In function ‘cg’:
