Further to my previous message if you dont want -std=gnu99 0r -std=c99 build flag carried on the libgfortan/Makefile.in/am for all compilers you could define it as -D_GNU_SOURCE @GNU_GCC_TRUE@ -std=gnu99 if there are any no gcc compilers that should build the sources...
