Do you have a mingw install? Or do you have nothing else than what the
installer installs? Does the problem persist if you delete your
gfortran tree before re-installing? The undefined symbol is a
standard-conforming printf() that the mingw developers recently
introduced, so if you somehow link with an old libmingwex.a, that
would explain the error.
If you want to have a mingw install and use my binaries with it, you
will need to upgrade to the latest mingw-runtime.
Also, in case the above doesn't fix your problem, can you run nm.exe
on libmingwex.a and paste the lines that have snprintf in them? For
me, it gives the following:
$ nm.exe libmingwex.a | grep snprintf
snprintf.o:
U __vsnprintf
00000000 T _snprintf
vsnprintf.o:
U __vsnprintf
00000000 T _vsnprintf
mingw_snprintf.o:
00001970 T ___mingw_snprintf
00000170 T ___mingw_vsnprintf
