Paul, Sorry to be such a spoiler, but with your patch gfortran.fortran-torture/execute/forall_3.f90 does not pass the tests. BTW to give back to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, the "Dominique's failing case" was the original test in PR31217 by Joost VandeVondele. I just kept its record in my tests. Dominique
