It should have no impact on the merging work: the patch I posted  
applies cleanly to the fortran-experiments branch, except two trivial  
one-line hunks that do not apply because Jerry's yesterday "large  
unit number" patch was not yet merged into the branch.

Other than that, it should not have any impact on the front-end code  
paths or generated code.

(Or maybe you were thinking of some other kind of impact that I'm not  
foreseeing.)

PS: I'll have time in the weeks to come, I can lend a hand wrt  
ISO_C_BINDING merge. I'll be on IRC tonight (from now until until  
12pm european time, which means 3pm US west coast, unless I'm  
mistaken) if you want to discuss it or explain me how I can help.
