Hi all,
Attached is my semi-regular report on the download counts for
gfortran binaries from quatramaran.ens.fr. The y-axis is the number
of unique IP downloads for a given package during a week.
The x-axis is the week number, starting one year ago and ending two
weeks from now. Few quick remarks:
- People are still download the linux package even when
gfortran-4.1 is probably available in major distros; the download
count isn't even going down! I think we have a number of people
regularly testing the latest compiler, which is in line with bug-
reports we get from non-contributors that nevertheless use the
mainline compiler
- The Windows user base is large and growing, especially for
MinGW, despite the fact that the current package is 4+ months old
- The Intel-MacOS package is already more downloaded than the
PowerPC-MacOS
Any other comments (or statistics from the x86_64 downloads, e.g.)
are welcome.
