Here it doesn't seem to work. (Only rebuilt libgfortran on ppc, x86 will 
follow just for convenience). And sorry for the delay. Lots of non gcc 
stuff.

Regarding the cpu cycles, here the tests just hangs, no cpu cycles wasted.
