I'd also prefer you do not backport the FSEEK patch, for the exact  
reasons you explained. The other regression is OK, but the non- 
regression shouldn't be backported, as others said; moreover, I see  
that some of those are accepts-invalid bugs, which really don't  
matter enough to be backported.
