i've updated the gen_cptr_param function and now gfortran reports the
following for your code:
kargl_1.f03:2.42:
use iso_c_binding, only: c_f_procpointer
1
Error: Type 'C_FUNPTR' required for ISO_C_BINDING function at (1)

Error: The derived type 'cptr' at (1) is of type 'c_funptr', which has not

acceptable? if so, i'll apply it to trunk and bootstrap, regtest, and
submit.
