cannot link code on a 64 bit AMD

I can compile an produce a static library:  libdiglib.a but cannot link 
to it. I get the message symbol tables out of order. I have attached he 
make files. It previously compiled and linked on my Centrino Duo 32 bit 
machine. I looked at compile and link options but I am not sure what to 
use. The code I am compiling is legacy fortran.
