Thanks, I can confirm that this allows us to compile again the  
various codes that are now broken.

I'm not sure what the status of the patch and there's been no word  
from Aldy. So, all I can do is try to convey by a few words the idea  
that this is breaking real-life codes in real-life situations (-O is  
not something so unusual).
