Time to retreat for a while

Well folks,

I am finding myself unable to commit time to the gfortran effort.  I will hang 
around the list and help when I can of course.  I have un-assigned myself from 
the few bugs I wanted to try to tackle.

I think that I achieved my goal to get the I/O working pretty well.

I hope that my contributions have been worth while.

If I see something that comes along of interest or if you see something you 
think I should look at, please let me know.  (FX I have not forgotten about 
asynchronous I/O :) )

I have truly enjoyed working with you all and I am sorry about the priorities 
here. I hope that I will be able to get back to this in a month or so.
