Installation Question! (A suggestion)

>        (sudo) tar -xjvf gfortran-sys_pakage.tar.bz2 -C /

That will mess with the system compiler, and interfere with package  
management. People who want to try the latest probably want to have  
it aside, for which the current packaging is great, I think

If we were to make system packages, we should be building RPMs  
or .deb, but that is for stable compilers, provided by vendors.

Because it's more common that bz2, and I'm not sure that there is a  
lot to gain by bzip2'ing...
