What is the status of this? Or in other words how does one get a
build-system maintainer approval? Are these those listed in MAINTAINERS
as "build machinery (*.in)" (DJ Delorie, Nathanael Nerode, Alexandre Oliva)?

It would be nice if PR28276 / "EXPONENT() broken for real constants"
would be fixed. ;-)
