failures

Bud,

Jerry has been busy on libgfortran, which is where you will find that 
the segfaults are occurring.  Delete all the *.o and *.lo files in 
$your_build_directory/i686-pc-linux-gnu/libgfortran and make + make 
install, once more.  I think that you will find all is well.
