regressions?

i'm also failing to bootstrap on ppc darwin, with the following errors:
Unknown pseudo-op: .literal16
make[6]: *** [maxloc0_8_r16.lo] Error 1
make[6]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....

make[6]: *** [maxloc0_4_r16.lo] Error 1

make[5]: *** [all] Error 2
make[4]: *** [multi-do] Error 1
make[3]: *** [all-multi] Error 2
make[2]: *** [all] Error 2
make[1]: *** [all-target-libgfortran] Error 2
make: *** [bootstrap] Error 2
the configure line for the build was simply --prefix=<...> and
--enable-languages=c,fortran.
any ideas?
