can't run executables

[moosic luver]

I installed Xcode (easy install... may have left some
things out...) and reinstalled cctools-590.36.  Now,
although I do get an executable after typing

/usr/local/gfortran/bin/gfortran -o explicit.out
explicit.f90

, when I type in explicit.out to run this executable,
I get the following error:
 
-bash: test.out: command not found

What might be causing this?
