Hi,

there are new results for gfortran "4.2.0" - what ever version that is.

Speed results: gfortran remains in the lower middle (white) with 10x
red, 7x green and 15x white (sum over AMD and P4).

For P4 we show some regressions, for AMD with we have substential gain,
probably mostly due to the changed compile options.

Diagonstics
http://www.polyhedron.com/pb05/linux/diagnose.html
gfortran scores now 34% and thus as well as PGI (32%) and Absoft (34%).
g95 (46%) and Intel (54%) score better due to the character out of
bounds check [1] and due to inter and intra file interface checks.

[1] See http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2006-10/msg01030.html for a
patch which, however, has off-by-one line numbers and does not shows the
variable name.
