Proposed patch for 4 byte unformatted record delimiters

Hi All,

Are there any near-term plans to implement a solution to allow 4 byte record markers?
I submitted a patch a few months ago to CVS and provided links to Intel's solution
for this issue, but I'm not sure what else I can do to move this along. Any ideas?

If it isn't going to be for awhile, I'll need to either continue patching my
version of gfortran or breakdown and buy the PGI or Intel compiler.
(I'm using files output from Intel and PGI compilers from other systems,
so I can't easily use the 8 byte delimitter approach that is currently
coded for gfortran. Many others in the aerospace industry have this issue
as well.)

Thanks!

Rob
