duuuuh!  It is not as if I(we) have not been hit by that exact problem 
dozens of times in the past. *sigh*
Once again, I have been caught out by Cygwin being occasionally robust 
against segfaults. (I am using it to be able to sit next to the sttove!)

Thanks for that one Steve - I'll resubmit tonight.  I am sure that with 
that, it's ripe enough to go.
