Non-functional compiler under SGI Irix

Hi!

This probably not a GFortran issue (it's most likely related to my local
setup), but I hope someone can put me on the right track...

I've just build 'GNU Fortran 95 (GCC) 4.3.0 20061218 (experimental)',
unfortunately I've just erased my check and my objects directories: I've
restarted the build process, but it takes several hours (...).

Whatever: 'gfortran -c Hello_World.f90 -o Hello_World.o' does not
trigger any complaint, but 'gfortran Hello_World.o -o Hello_World'
causes the following error:
/USER/philippe/Irix/BinUtils/bin/ld: cannot find -lgfortranbegin
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

This seems quite general, and happens with any source I tried it with
(as I mentioned before, I do not have the results of the test suite any
more, 8-(...).

Can anyone suggest anything?

Thanks!

Philippe
