	I have received a clarification from the FSF about the status of
the LLNL copyright assignment.  The LLNL code for Gfortran now is in the
public domain and free to be used by GCC.  The FSF copyright file will be
updated to reflect this status.  The Cray pointer patch can be committed
to GCC.
