This has now been posted as PR24311 ( 
http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=24311 ).

The PR is caused by http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-cvs/2005-09/msg00961.html.

There is a proposed fix in the PR.
