[PATCH, ping] Cray Pointers

    Just a heads up that according to this week's gcc 4.1
status report they have gone from 250 to 225 open bugs and
will branch when they hit 100. We are in serious risk of
missing the opportunity to get the Cray Pointer patch into
gcc 4.1 at this point.
