gfortran speed benchmarks

    I know additional testsuites have been discussed (like NIST) for
monitoring the status of gfortran development. However I am wondering
if any runtime performance benchmarks have been considered as well
to follow the status of compiler optimizations over time? Also, has
anyone benchmarked against the current g95 to see how we are performing
relative to that compiler? I ask because I recall the g95 developer
claimed that array handling was poorly implemented and would be
drastically improved in his compiler.
