Apologies - I noticed that the bash script I posted an intermediate version - it runs fortran.dg correctly but only a small proportion of the g77 tests run because I was in the midst of inserting the appropriate options. In any case, it does not help Xavier-Francois - it does not even work under msys. Paul Thomas
