[g95] - compiler crash on internal writes

Hi,

I have a question on whether g95 handles internal writes. A
colleague of mine is trying to compile a Fortran code (mostly
F77, but with some F90 features) and has hit the following problem.
He's working with the Mac OSX version of your compiler.

When he encounters an internal write statement with anything
other than ('a') formatting, the compiler crashes.

for instance: write(mystring,'(a,i3,a)') 'xxx',100,'yyy'
will cause a compiler crash.

Is this a known problem with g95? Can you suggest a work-around
for this?

Thanks,

Catherine
