Addendum to ',X' bug

The output from the 'nX' bug did not print correctly in the message.  In 
the second example, there are 18 nulls (shown as <00> on my output) 
between 'RANGES' and the first '0.250....'.  In the first example,
there are correctly spaces between the numbers on the first line and 
between the 'I's on the second line.  These spaces got suppressed in the 
message, but are OK on the printout.
