Spec 2005 and gfortran

The people who do SPEC runs at AMD are starting to look at the candidate
benchmarks for Spec 2005, and have noticed that there were a number of
failures. It looks like there has been progress between GCC 4.0 and the
current mainline (adding Hollerith strings for instance). Are there
still missing features that are used by these benchmark candidates that
aren't planned to be in the GCC 4.1 timeframe?
In particular are there things that the developers know won't be
implemented that we may need to push back on the SPEC committee in terms
of the new benchmarks of changes that should be made. Unfortunately,
the code itself is only available to SPEC members, though in most times
it should be sufficient to go to the original benchmark/application and
try to build that.
Thanks in advance.
