Byteswap option

welcome.

i don't think anyone is working on this.  the best thing to do is to
post a message to the mailing list that says "this is what I am going to
do ".

describe specifically the new options (probably to the OPEN statement in
this case) and how it will work.   

This will force anyone with conflicts to speak up !!
