call system() /linux /cygwin

Hi,

I am trying to develop a fortran (g77) code on both a linux and a 
Windows machine thanks to Cygwin.
This code has a CALL SYSTEM (...) statement which enables the launching 
of an other code.
No problem with linux, but with windows/cygwin the CALL SYSTEM (...) 
does not produce any result.
I was unable to find any explanation of this behaviour and I would 
appreciate any help.
