Asking for help was helpful in itself: just after clicking send I had 
the right idea, and now the frontend is happy. I still get a segfault 
deep in the compiler when compiling the master function, but the 
trampolines are happily compiled, and I was able to compile the master 
function beforetrying to figure out my other problem, so I think this 
should be easily fixed.
