Well, that's a long story :-)
CCRG has six members now and is supported by the National High Technology
Research and Development Program of China (863 Program). We are intrested in
the open sourced optimized fortran compiler and parallel fortran compiler,
especially on IA64. A compiler which fully supports FORTRAN 77 and FORTRAN 95
is one of our targets. We believe GCC/fortran is our choice. We hope to try our
best to improve the development of gfortran and to make it pass the SPEC
CFP2000 and our private F77 tests as soon as possible.
But now we pay more attention to our another project COMP - a source to source
openmp fortran compiler. We are making the final fix on it and hope to open it
in 3 months. Then we may have enough time to continue to work on gfortran. In
this period, I will fix some little bugs listed in the bugzilla. The alias
analyzing in gfortran is added by Kejia Zhao and make an impressing improvment.
But still need repairing to give the patch.
