Hello people!

Good news:

  https://gcc.gnu.org/pipermail/gcc/2025-November/247020.html

This is both a privilege and a big responsibility. Once the details get
cleared out, I will push the front-end to the master branch in the main
GCC git repo, and then we will continue hacking there. GCC 16 will be
shipping a full-fledged and expanded Algol 68 compiler :)

Once that happens, my suggestion is to continue using this list for
Algol 68 specific discussion, and to discuss patches and topics that are
in the RFC category.

Once the RFC patch has been discussed, the final patch shall be sent to
gcc@gcc.gnu.org and be accepted there. Patches fixing bugs and patches
in the "obvious" category can go directly to gcc@. Makes sense?

Thanks to everyone for making this possible.
The world may be finally ready for Algol 68 after all! :))
