Agreed. I'm going to start on 1 before the end of this week. I will also
post relatively soon mainline versions of the nice
_M_erase_at_end/_M_erase_at_begin bits which I did with Howard's help +
other smaller things I'm finishing up now in v7 (e.g.,
_M_get_Tp_allocator by ref)
