26_numerics fails

These are new fails in numerics:
FAIL: 26_numerics/binary_closure.cc (test for excess errors)
WARNING: 26_numerics/binary_closure.cc compilation failed to produce
executable
FAIL: 26_numerics/valarray.cc (test for excess errors)
WARNING: 26_numerics/valarray.cc compilation failed to produce executable
There was some mail about this: did the situation ever get resolved?
For this:
XPASS: 26_numerics/c99_classification_macros_c.cc (test for errors, line 35)
David has suggested a patch (which I think is a good idea):
