I see your point. Honestly, I did'nt notice before that -*- C++ -*- at the
beginning of each header.

All of this is very ironic...

Anyway, a common practice, today, is that of matching a full regular expression
to the first few hundreds of words of the file, not relying on a tag, see, e.g.
'nedit'. Therefore just a couple of / at the beginning of the file is ok and
universal. Do you really find this 'evil' ?
