Hi,
thanks for you replies once again, some things are clearer now.
In any case yesterday I already checked out gcc from cvs and built
it. Unfortunately it broke during libstdc++ - see my other mail. Once I
know how to get rid of the > /dev/null I will be able to give more info
(again see other mail posted yesterday).

anyways, so please tell me how to get a better error description out of
that build (see other mail) and I'll see what I can do to get this
building nicely on my FreeBSD installation.
I'm using cvs rather than waiting for a snapshot since we plan to release
our library's first version in about 2 weeks and I would like it to build
at least on this machine in FreeBSD so I can test it.
