Troubles building libstdc++ (gcc 20001204)

I have successfully built the latest C++ standard library, together with
the gcc snapshot 20001127; now I am experimenting with 20001204, and I
have troubles with it. In order to simplify my system (basically a RedHat
6.1) I have removed the egcs release installed there under /usr, and
replaced it with a vanilla 2.95.2 gcc, compiled from the tarball, with
--prefix=/usr .

After having configured 20001204 with --prefix=/usr/local/gcc and
--enable-libstdcxx-v3, and after "make bootstrap", the compilers are
successfully built and their last stages compare equal; the problem I have
come then, when compiling the libraries. When compiling the C++
libraries, I get:

Making all in src
make[4]: Entering directory `/home/loreti/work/objdir/i686-pc-linux-gnu/libstdc++-v3/src'
make[4]: *** No rule to make target `', needed by
`limitsMEMBERS.lo'.  Stop.

I had a look to the Makefile and the src directory, but I could understand
nothing. Do you have some suggestions (apart from living with the
previous 20001204 snapshot :-)?

			Thank you in advance, M.
