I think this is main reason why @gnu.org or @gmail.com style addresses
are preferred over employer addresses when there's > 1 address on file.
That makes sense, but how many people are in cagney's shoes (with more
than one non-gcc.gnu.org email address in their commit history)? It
sounds like they should all be canonicalized to USER@gcc.gnu.org.
I think if you dug there would be enough folks who've moved employment
over time and others who may change employers over time.
