GCC intrinsics for the MPC8540 architecture

Hi,

First I apologize, if this is the wrong list. :)

I hope someone from the developer's group can't point me in the right
direction? I did not get a response on GCC-help list.

I am trying to compile code that uses the
vector processor (SPE) found on the E500 (i.e. MPC8540)
I am using the SPE Programming Instruction Manual (SPEPIM.pdf)

There is a mailing list for ALTIVEC but not for SPE?

I get the following error when trying to print some basic tests:
=====================================================================
error: incompatible type for argument 1 of `__ev_get_u32_internal'
=====================================================================

Here is a code snippet:
=======================================================================
#include <stdio.h>
#include <spe.h>

void spe_print_test()
{
  __ev64_u32__ v = {0x40000000, 0x20000000};

  printf ("%R %R\n", __ev_get_upper_ufix32_u32(v),
__ev_get_lower_ufix32_u32(v));

  printf ("%r %r\n", __ev_get_upper_ufix32_u32(v),
__ev_get_lower_ufix32_u32(v));

  printf ("%04R %04R\n", __ev_get_upper_ufix32_u32(v),
__ev_get_lower_ufix32_u32(v));

  printf ("%04r %04r\n", __ev_get_upper_ufix32_u32(v),
__ev_get_lower_ufix32_u32(v));

}
========================================================================
