    Since you did not put a smiley on this, I will perhaps waste time by
    addressing it seriously. In fact in this area, the problem is with the
    models themselves, not with the accuracy with which they are computed.

And, at the risk of getting even further off-topic, in the one-week case,
another problem is having an accurate set initial conditions: there aren't
a whole lot of weather baloons lofted over the Saraha Desert, for example.

Do you think it would be expedient for me to include a small treatise on the predictability of weather and climate into my talk at the GCC Summit (assuming it will be accepted by the review committee) ?

Note that said treatise will not include any discussion of the accuracy of floating point computations, as that subject is irrelevant in this context.
