Hi All,
I successfully built gcc-3.4.3 on a SuSE 8.0 Professional.
The machine is a single-proc Athlon XP 2100+
with 1GB RAM.
The distro is standard with the kernel 2.4.18-4GB.
Output from the various info commands are reported below.
~/soft/gcc-3.4.3 is srcdir/ of the tree, 'remir' (output of uname) is
the computer hostname.
~/soft/gcc-3.4.3 > config.guess
i686-pc-linux-gnu
~/soft/gcc-3.4.3 > /opt/bin/gcc -v
Reading specs from /opt/lib/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.4.3/specs
Configured with: ../gcc-3.4.3/configure --prefix=/opt --enable-threads
--with-cpu=athlon --enable-obsolete
Thread model: posix
gcc version 3.4.3
~/soft/gcc-3.4.3 > uname -a
Linux remir 2.4.18-4GB #1 Wed Mar 27 13:57:05 UTC 2002 i686 unknown
~/soft/gcc-3.4.3> rpm -q glibc
